Who Can Vote in the YRC Plebiscite?
Elections New Brunswick is responsible for administering the electoral process for the YRC Plebiscite on October 23, 2017 (advance poll October 14, 2017). In New Brunswick, a person is qualified to vote in a Rural Community plebiscite if he or she:
- is a Canadian citizen;
- will be eighteen years of age on or before polling day;
- has been or will have been ordinarily resident in the Province for a period of at least 40 days immediately before the election; and
- will be living in the proposed Rural Community area on Election Day.
